Worst ER ever. My mom came in with excruciating pain after a fall 2 days prior. She never got an actual physical exam to check for bruising, swelling or abnormalities. She never saw a doctor, only the intake nurse who came to get the forms signed and the lady who came in to do her discharge papers. She had 2 x-rays taken by a lab tech. Then the nurse (?) came in and said nothing was broken so they're discharging her with a pain med prescription. Previously my nephew came in with a deep knee laceration and the doc sewed him up then tells my brother (who was an Army medic) 'I closed him up but didn't get all the sediment out'. This of course caused an infection that my brother ended up having to deep clean later. Don't go to Kingwood ER unless you have no other options!

DO NOT GO TO KINGWOOD MEDICAL CENTER! I went to the ER because I woke up and couldn't see (total blackness) and my head was in extreme pain....the doctor told me I was not in pain, and told me to go to an optometrist...from there I went to the optometrist they referred me to....from there I left in ambulance to Memorial Hermann Downtown where I spent a week.... my diagnosis: lesions on my brain. I couldn't see because of this!

I would die before I took anyone there!!! And would suggest you go elsewhere also.

I had to have surgery on my foot this past January and before that in June of last year. The nurses and all tech staff were amazing. They treated me with great respect and kindness. They were very calm and reassuring as the time came close for my procedures. Dr. Jerry Miles and before him Dr. Bailey Griffin both expertly treated my issues and talked to me face to face. Even the Podiatrist Residents were awesome. The Diagnostician for the Hospital came and brought me some excellent information regarding my diet. I did not want to be in the hospital but my stay both times were as pleasant as possible

The staff at Kingwood Medical Center did not listen to me, and let me leave in extreme pain and not being able to see. They told me I was making it up.

don’t know about the ER but I gave birth here and I had an awesome experience! All my L&D Nurses were so amazing, and so helpful the whole time!

This is a hospital that desperately needs some personnel changes! During the last few weeks here with a parent, I have seen numerous Nurses and Doctors that displayed lack of professionalism, not to mention case workers that want to discharge patients before they recoup from surgery!!! I am very generous with a two star rating because of only three nurses (out of approximately 30) displayed compassion for their patients!
